Quba mosque foundation and Islamic centre is the first mosque and Islamic cetnre that was founded in Namibia.
This centre was founded by the embassy of the Islamic republic of Iran in 1995,for all muslems in
Namibia ,the locals and foreigners and for shia and sunnah.
So this centre from the first has tried to be a peaceful palce for all muslims in Namibia in order to perform their religious actions.
Also Quba mosque foundation has tried so much to unite muslem ommah by performing ceremonies
On different occasions like holy month of ramadhan and also the date of the birthday of Prophet (pbuh) of islam .
One of the daily program of Quba mosque is to perform salaat (prayers)on its time, but the main gathering of muslems is on Friday that a lot of muslems from different groups(shia and sunnah) and different nationality with hosting of islamic embassies in Windhoek like Egypt, Libya ,Algeria ,Maleyzia Indonezia and … gather together for more unity and brotherhood.
In order to make islam local in Namibia ,Quba mosque has educated some youth that they are interested in islam .
Till now this centre has sent some Namibians to other country like Iran by scholarship in order to mobilize Namibian muslems for the future of muslem ummah in Namibia.
Now Quba mosque foundation is ready to support all Namibian muslems and nonmuslims to learn islam in peaceful place.
